Biological industrial washers (bioscrubber)
For the control of odors in sewage treatment plants at municipal waste management facilities, activated carbon systems, biofilters or chemical scrubbers are used.
However, most of the times the above-mentioned systems can not meet the high requirements or limits set for the gaseous pollutants or waste water produced during their operation, and moreover they present some additional disadvantages, such as high installation requirements (biofilters) or use of hazardous chemicals (chemical washers).
In these cases, biological industrial washers are the ideal solution, presenting a number of advantages such as:
- Minimum installation space compared to biofilters
- They can handle dust-loaded gases
- Low operating and maintenance costs in relation to chemical washers.
- Higher degree of odor control in relation to chemical washers.
